2024 IFSS DRYLAND
NORTH AMERICAN
CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CANADIAN APPLICATIONS

Hosted by the United States Federation of Sleddog Sports from October 26 to 27, 2024 

in Minocqua, Wisconsin (USA)

Canadian athletes interested in competing at the North American Continental Championships may submit their applications below. 

DEADLINE TO APPLY: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th, 2024.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION:

1. DOWNLOAD the application corresponding with your age category below:

a) ELITE & JUNIOR Application (11-39)

b) MASTERS Application (40+) 

2. Fill in ALL required information.

3. EMAIL your completed application to acsca.cahds@gmail.com

 

PROCESS:

1. Once we have received your application, identifying information is redacted and then sent to the Selections Committee for blind review. 

2. The Selections Committee is given 1-2 weeks to complete their review and then must submit their assessments to the CAHDS Board. 

3. The CAHDS Board will then review the assessments and contact each athlete.

REQUIREMENTS

MEMBERSHIP

All applicants are required to have an up to date CAHDS membership (either through their Regional Organization or as an independent CAHDS member if no RO exists in their province or territory). You can purchase your CAHDS Membership here.

Applications from non-members will NOT be processed. 

IFSS Driver ID

All applicants are required to have a current IFSS DID.

2024-25 DIDs are available for purchase via CAHDS' Race Roster here

veterinary

All canine athletes are required to have up-to-date vaccines and must have been microchipped BEFORE they received their most recent vaccines (including rabies). The list of required vaccines for North American Continentals has not yet been provided but will likely include:

Rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus-2 (Hepatitis and tracheo-bronchitis), Parvovirus and "Kennel cough" (Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica).

TEAM SPOTS

Canada is allotted 6 spots per class & category. 

Pre-selected athletes do not count toward this number, but MUST apply via the Canadian process in order to confirm their spots and be registered.
