2025 IFSS DRYLAND
WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIPS & MASTERS
TEAM CANADA SELECTION CRITERIA
IFSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS and MASTERS 2025
Minocqua Winter Park, Wisconsin USA
October 21-26, 2025
Canadian athletes interested in competing at the IFSS Dryland World Championships and Masters can find the selection critera below.
WE WILL BE USING THE SAME CRITERIA AS PAST YEARS:
1. You will need a DID
2. You will need 4 races in 2 years finish in top 50% (4 in 4 yrs for rig)
3. You will need to race at a minimum of ONE RO sanctioned event
4. You will need an RO membership or independent membership with CAHDS
During the selection process the selection committee will consider the competitiveness level of the field: number of participants, best finish time etc… Should 2 athletes have similar qualifications making them eligible for the same Team Canada spot, priority will be given to athletes residing within a province with a recognized Regional Organization.
NOTE:
While IFSS World Cup events typically provide a higher level of competition and you can collect IFSS points, you DO NOT need to compete in World Cup event only. If you collect enough points you might be eligible for automatic qualifier (see details on the IFSS website: https://sleddogsport.net/library/ under “regulation”) but this is independent from the CAHDS selection process.

TEAM SPOTS
Canada is typically allotted 3 spots per class & category at World Championship Events. We have pre-emptively requested additional spots as this World Championship is taking place in North America and we expect interest to be high.
Pre-selected athletes do not count toward this number, but are still subject to the application process.
